Establishment of Fast-Track Courts for Pakistan Property Disputes: by OPF
ISLAMABAD: According to Dr. Amer Sheikh, managing director of the Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF), the organization plans to establish specialized fast-track courts in each of Pakistan’s provinces to safeguard property rights and provide prompt resolution of property issues for Pakistanis living abroad.
According to the statement of Dr. Sheikh, in the Senate Standing Committee, about Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, the foundation has established housing societies, educational institutions, and complaint cells to rapidly address issues affecting Pakistanis abroad.
The committee praised the initiative and gave the Employees Old Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) two weeks to submit a thorough report responding to criticisms. Senior government and departmental officials, as well as several senators, attended the meeting.
Sheikh thought that this move would simplify issues faced by Pakistanis and their dependents abroad, which is the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis‘ primary responsibility.
Additionally, he claimed that establishing fast-track courts for property disputes is a good move because it will allow abroad-living Pakistanis to resolve their property issues quickly.
