FBR Establishes Body to Facilitate Taxpayers in Sales Tax Return Submission

Islamabad: According to news stories from October 23, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has taken a big step by creating a group to assist people in submitting their sales tax reports.

The additional information clarifies that the FBR set up a specialist committee with eight members split into three teams.

Sher Salim Tariq, Dr. Nasir Khan, and Aamir Amin Bhatti are in charge of the first team. 

By October 31, this team will concentrate on developing and launching a single Online Sales Tax Return Filing System for the telecom industry.

In the second phase, the committee will expand this system to include all industries by May 31, 2024, under the direction of Zainul Abidin Sahi.

The government’s attempts to assist taxpayers, particularly those who missed the first September 30 deadline, prompted this action.

The deadline has been extended to October 31 to accommodate these people. This extension is meant to give taxpayers plenty of time to complete their tasks and stay out of trouble, legally or otherwise.
