CDA Plans to Construct a Festival Square within the F-9 Park Islamabad

Islamabad: The leading daily reported on October 30 that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) intended to create a Festival Square inside the F-9 Park. According to the news source, this innovative project intends to provide inhabitants of the federal capital with various dining options and a stage for street entertainers and folk musicians to play. Additionally, the CDA has invited reputable food brands and companies to apply by November 01 to participate in the Festival Square. You can submit these applications to the official @CDAthecapital social media account. Food trucks, street entertainers, folk singers, and handicraft booths are planned for the Festival Square. According to CDA policy, applications from brands with at least five years of market experience would be prioritized. The authorities have set a certain quota for the distribution of stalls in Festival Square. This comprises 5% for transgender people, 40% for males, and 55% for women. The main objective is to improve the recreational options in the vast 750-acre F-9 Park and make it the city’s model park. The park’s infrastructure will also be improved, with Captain Anwar ul Haq, the chairman of the CDA, providing direction. This includes improved illumination, especially in critical places such as walking and jogging tracks, kid-friendly play spaces, and other areas. In addition, extra security personnel will be present to provide park visitors with a safe and secure atmosphere.
